St. Mary's church window
This is one of a number of Gothic church windows that I rebuilt for a local church, using original joinery. A challenging job, as no two windows were identical in shape!

Rectangular church window
A larger rectangular window that sits over the entrance doors; note the complex coped joinery.

Custom cherry mantle
Traditional cherry mantle with ornate cornice

Paint grade mantle
An example of the elaborate built up mouldings popular these days. MDF/poplar construction for economy; note the attention to detail (no cracks to caulk!).

Winery door for Oak Heights Winery
A commission for a winery who wanted a “castle” style door. This was a technical challenge to design as I had to engineer a structure which wouldn’t move seasonally or crack, yet appear to be made of oak planks. Quarter-cut white oak with fully staved stiles and jambs, curved laminated header jamb.

“Speakeasy” within winery door
A tiny door within the main door allowing identification of any callers before opening the main door!

Joinery details of winery door
Fully haunched, deep mortise and tenon joints lend incredible integrity to this door; all hidden after assembly, but critical for longevity of a door.

Custom kitchen island, Toronto
The piece was designed by an architect but the clients turned to me for some unique wood and expertise. The whole piece is made from a single log of flitch-sawn curly European sycamore. |

Large paint grade wall unit
A rather extensive paint grade wall unit, incorporating a mantle, overmantle and bookcases, as well as some hidden cupboards for extra storage. The finish is high gloss white lacquer. Please note: the cornice hasn't been completed in the picture! |

Custom circular walnut landing
A circular landing, approximately fourteen feet in diameter, composed of 60 individual walnut segments, tongue and grooved together, with a fitted circular nosing. Note the precise fit and consistent colour of the walnut. This picture was taken before the floor was installed and varnished. |
